Nothing can prepare you for the sight of over a dozen baby elephants running for milk bottles and then playing fondly with each other. Petting them {especially the little ones} and spending time with them, learning about their stories and personalities are sure to be a highlight of your trip.  If you are planning on staying in Kenya for an extended period the David Sheldrick organization gives you the opportunity to adopt an elephant cub, how cool is that?  This enables you to visit the elephant cubs in their stables and you get to interact with the keepers in charge of them.

The Giraffe center is focused on the family of Rothchilds giraffes that inhabit the area. It’s always a delight to get up close with these majestic beings, hand feed and pet them. Note to self; don’t kiss the giraffe again, yes I said KISS, if you are courageous enough you can get a kiss from the giraffes  but your face will most likely end up slobbered. Be sure to go to the auditorium and see the distribution of the various types of giraffes with the help of a guide.

Any donation towards these initiatives for conserving wildlife will be highly appreciated.
